FEATURE ARTICLE - Personal Traits You Need to Succeed as an
Internet Marketer

I have some more useful tips you can use for your own especially if
you are an Internet Marketer just starting an Internet Business
from home.
I am not a motivational speaker by profession, but I have found
that the following personal traits required if you want to be a
successful Internet Marketer even if you are w.ork.ing from h.ome.
You may want to make this your personal trait check list. So, let
us zoom - full speed ahead!
Vision
======
This is what I call the ability to see what others could not see.
Sight is the ability to see with your eyes. Vision is the ability
to see with your mind.
As an Internet Marketer just starting or have operated for some
time on the Internet, what do you see in the future of your
business in the next six months? One year? Two years from now?
Courage
=======
This is by my personal definition, the ability to act in spite of
having great doubts. We all have our own doubts some times. I know
I do.
Now I am EXTREMELY sure that the successful people we know or heard
of today must have faced tremendous doubts and failed in the
process before they succeed.
You and I also know that in the end, the successful people finally
reaped the great rewards of life and the people who said "I told
you so" never get to share their part of the rewards.
Creativity
=========
Creativity, while a large subject by itself, is the ability to
think out side the thinking box.
Being an Internet Marketer means becoming a leader of your own ship
and this is not optional. With intense competition, latest
inventions and marketing trends, the task demands a lot of
creativity on your part to grow your business in the cyberspace
environment.
Withstanding Criticisms
====================
You and I have not heard or know of any successful person who has
been criticized.
A wise man once said:
"Great people talk about ideas. Big people talk about things. Small
people... talk about other people."
If you have been talking a lot about other people especially from
the perspective of a critic, cynic or gossiper, then you will know
how small you really are.
On the other hand, if you want to be big and great in running your
Online Business, you will have to expect being criticized by small
people, and as painful as it can be, these small people can
actually be the people you know, namely friends and relatives.
Not that I ask of you to break away from them immediately. Rather,
use their criticism as a steroid to make you more willful to
succeed. You will not want them to have a chance to say, "I told
you so".
However, if you find out that your friends are not being supportive
at all and are pushing you down rather than pulling you up in
trying times, you will have to seriously consider having to change
your set of friends or they can be your ultimate downfall.
Delayed Gratification
======================
This is often easier said than done. It can be very difficult to
learn to deny short-term immediate self-gratification in favor of a
greater long term reward.
As an Internet Entrepreneur running a cyber business in a
fast-paced environment, having delay gratification is more
important than ever.
More often that not, the Internet is equated to instant
gratification given the amount leverage it offers. However, this
does not change the law written on stone.
If you in pursuit of success and making more money as a business
owner, this is one trait you must have. No exceptions.
Forums are full of entries by people looking to make a fast buck
and asking the veterans on how to do it. As always, these people
are disappointed by the answers of the Internet Business and
Marketing veterans. Their answers will always be something that
some one with instant-gratification mind set could not handle.
Instant-gratification can also be the main reason why most people
are being sucked into get-rich-quick scams everyday though many
sites are created to warn about them.
This is just scratching the surface on each personal trait. If you
feel you need to improve on either one, some or all of the above
traits, consider attending a seminar or buy a self-help book or
audio tape on the subject.
Improving your personal traits is also a form of investment for it
can boost the performance and income of your Online Business. So, I

Internet niche marketing is a field which can be lucrative for
many as long as they study the industry first and make an honest
effort to learn about the industry. Even those without a formal
education can excel in Internet niche marketing as long as they
understand the key elements of the industry. Such elements include
selecting a niche carefully, organizing an effective marketing
campaign and undergoing a continuing education process to stay
aware of the trends in the industry.
*Select a Niche Carefully
One of the most important components of a smart Internet niche
marketing campaign is to select a niche carefully. A niche is a
specific subdivision of a broader category.
The owner of a niche website is usually quite knowledgeable about
this particular topic and capable of creating quality content which
is highly informative and accurate. Knowledge of a particular niche
subject is one of the first factors a marketer should consider when
selecting a niche.
Ideally the niche they select should be one for which they have an
interest as well as a great deal of pre-existing knowledge.
The second factor to consider in selecting a niche is to look for a
topic which has a large potential audience but not a great deal of
other websites competing for the attention of these Internet users.
An exceptional niche website can enter a crowded market and excel
but it does take considerably more effort because customers tend to
be loyal and swaying them can be more difficult than winning the
loyalty of new customers.
*Organize an Effective Internet Marketing Campaign
Once a niche is selected it is time to begin orchestrating an
effecting Internet marketing campaign. This campaign may include
commercial websites, informative websites, message boards,
e-newsletters, ebooks, email campaigns or any combination of these
components.
Websites will most likely be included as at least part of any
Internet marketing campaign so developing keywords relevant to the
niche and optimizing the websites for these keywords is important.
While optimizing the websites for particular keywords is important
for achieving high search engine rankings, it is also imperative to
carefully consider your target audience in the design of your
website.
While high search engine rankings will be increased traffic flow to
your website, a clever design which meets the needs and
expectations of your target audience is also important. High search
engine rankings will bring in traffic but once you have website
visitors it is important to capture their attention.
*Stay Up to Date on Current Issues in the Industry
Finally, it is important to remember that Internet marketing is
continually evolving and it is important for those who profit from
the industry to stay up to date on the current trends in the
industry.
This is important because if ground breaking trends which greatly
benefit a niche website, smart Internet marketers realize they have
to begin employing these trends to avoid being left behind in their
niche.
One way to stay up to date on the latest trends is to participate
in message boards focused on Internet marketing. Through these
communities those in the industry voice their opinions on different
marketing strategies.
Smart Internet marketers can use this information to formulate
their own opinions and test strategies which are currently being
discussed as new and innovative.
